Dance Instructions anyone?

At the bottom of my Disc Jockey page I have some fun dance instructions.

I like the idea of letting people learn how to dance a bit before they go to a party.

They are more confident to get on the dance floor.

DJ's who can jump out there onto the dance floor are a bonus for the client.

The point is to tear up the floor with dance instructions right at the gig.

Some disc jockeys offer dance instruction from a person who will be there for a period of time to do just that. They also get folks out onto the dance floor.

"Ladies and Gentlemen tonight we have Bella from Bella's Dance school located right here in our city to show us some really great dance moves. I know that you'll have a great time with Bella so get out on the floor and party"

Your newsletter ending up in the spam box?

I am assuming that you do send a newsletter to your past clients and prospects as well as regular customers.

So the problem is that you send 200 and who knows if anyone actually read any of them.

You won't know.

If most of them end up in the spam box it was a waste of time.

I am now using something that a woman told me about called Aweber.

Until now I was reluctant to even send the newsletter out but I felt I had to do it for the business to stay competitive.

This program has a spam filter test to tell you if the spam filters will stop your email or e-newsletter from getting to the client.

That alone is a great idea. They have professional templates like you've seen coming in emails form big corporations. There are statistics that tell you who opened the email and who ignored it.

Also stats for who clicked on an ad etc. There is a lot more.

It is the answer to professional results rather than an amateurish attempt.

Remember those?

Compact Discs are soon going to be a thing of the past for the last holdout to new DJ technology.

Changes... are coming fast. New gear and new music for disc jockeys.

Let's focus on DJ dance music.

There are several ways to keep up with new song releases that young people are requesting.

I like Billboard magazine but there are many other music publications.

Disc Jockey magazines, newsletters and subscriptions are educational (sometimes) and can help keep you

abreast of the latest trends.

Don't get left behind as the expectations of your customers can change before you do.

There are DJ services like Top Hits USA that provide new music as it comes out and often well before it is a hit.

I like this list. It updates from time to time.

As a disc jockey you are driving miles with your vehicle to get to the gig.
There are two ways to deduct.
One is actual expenses and the other is mileage allowance.

You can deduct mileage if you keep records. By then end of the year it can be a substantial amount.

She asked me to get up on the floor and teach everyone to dance the Macarena.

As a DJ it's a good idea to be able to do that.

I like to refer people to a page that has dance instructions for the Macarena.

It tells all how to shake your butt and touch your shoulders etc. in the proper order.
